Deputy General Prosecutor of Ukraine, Renat Kuzmin, will give a speech at the European Parliament on Monday, November 21, in Brussels.Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists & Democrats extends its invitation for the two hour-long meeting on behalf of Hannes Swoboda, the Vice-President of the SPE Faction in the European Parliament. The Alliance and the Party of Regions, as is generally known, have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The Invitation letters have been distributed to every European Parliament Faction leaders. Kuzmin himself has requested the meeting at the European Parliament.

The Invitation says that during the meeting Kuzmin will provide complete and confidential report on current cases against former high-ranking Ukrainian Government officials.

Batkivshyna party members are confident that it is evident that Kuzmin is delegated to Brussels by the state officials pursuing the disinformation the European Parliament delegates and again tell lies for the opposition leader now outside the country borders.

Discredited Ministry of Foreign Affairs that should have formed an image of Ukraine poorly delegated its functions to the General Prosecutor’s office of Ukraine.

As emphasized at the press service report, it is one more sign of the totalitaric state formed by Yanukovych, relying only at the punitive organs.

The fact that the meeting takes place indicates that the European Parliament officers, as well as the citizens of Europe on the whole don’t have an idea in full what kind of regime is now established in Ukraine and what a regime speaker they will be listening to.

Since the only place in Europe it should be hearing of a case witnesses of Kuzmin the prosecutor are not the European Parliament at all but the Hague tribunal. And the only European officers that may meet with him not to lose their faces are the investigators and prosecutors of the Hague tribunal. It is quite explicable that the Euro-Parliamentarians from force of habit give a vote of confidence towards the official titles of the not long ago democratic Ukraine. And keep naivly consider that the First Deputy General Prosecutor of Ukraine is around the main protector of the Law and the human rights in Ukraine. In practice nowadays this title and the personality of Kuzmin is comparable to the “SS” General at Hitler Germany.

Namely Renat Kuzmin is the chief executor of the political repressions in Ukraine. And Victor Yanukovych the current President of Ukraine was the head ordering party of it. For the careerism motives, namely Renat Kuzmin had organized the ineligible institution of the faked criminal cases against the Ukrainian opposition — former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and former Minister of Internal Affairs Yuriy Lutsenko. Namely Renat Kuzmin used to arrange for Yulia Tymoshenko long lasting, exhausting, nearly daily months long interrogations. In particular, he used to initiate the groundless capture into custody for Lutsenko and Tymoshenko. People across modern-day Europe imagine that taking of hostages are the tactics for only the terrorists and bandits. Unfortunately, now its is a state policy regarding the opposition members in Ukraine. It is a policy performed by Renat Kuzmin.

Let us make 2 examples of such an activity.

Victor Yanukovych has ordered the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine to find a way to subordinate the Supreme Court of Ukraine, pressing for the total control over the arm of law in Ukraine.

And Renat Kuzmin found that way. Last year in autumn Kuzmin initiates a criminal case on the suspicions of abuse of the official position, against the former First Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine Evgeniy Korneichuk, son-in-law to Vasiliy Onopenko, Head of the Supreme Court of Ukraine. Korneichuk had been called for the interrogation and let free.

Korneichuk is required to provide the compromising evidences for his father-in-law Vasiliy Onopenko. Korneichuk refused to do that. December 22, 2010 Korneichuk had been arrested unexpectedly and put in custody, after the interrogation took place.

Herein one used to attend the examinations regularly and had not been planning neither hide nor put obstacles to the judicial investigation. Why December 22 in particular? That very day the wife of Korneichuk was expected to give birth to a baby and, thus, a woman had been urgently delivered to the maternity hospital. Isn’t it a refined Asia’s cruelty or Nazi brutality?

Wife of Korneichuk got ill, as the nervous exhaustion consequence. The same day woman delivered a baby and the baby had fallen ill. And the investigator in charge duly informed Korneichuk on that during the examinations. All at once, Kuzmin instituted legal proceedings against the other daughter of Onopenko, for the fraud charge. He conducted a search in the Head’s of the Supreme Court of Ukraine house, in the frame of the case. And he carried his point finally. Both Korneichuk and Onopenko had been broken down. Korneichuk refused to continue with his political activities and Onopenko was getting ready to hand in his resignation, as a matter of fact. Korneichuk has been released from custody.

Doesn’t that look like the state terror policy?And the ‘speaker’ to Euro Parliamentarians is the main executor.

It is one more episode of taking the hostages in present-day Ukraine. Before having awarded the sentence to Yulia Tymoshenko, the present Ukrainian power officials realized that the investigation and the court for the “gas case” are too unmotivated from the juridical point of view and look more like political repressions. Yanukovych charged Kuzmin with the unprofessional performance and instructed to make the best “to lock up Yulya forever”. Then Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, in the person of Kuzmin, decided to establish the guilt of Tymoshenko with the criminal acts of 1990-ies, which have been incriminated to Pavel Lazarenko, who is nowadays serving his sentence in the United States of America. Renate Kuzmin has left for the USA for a talk with Petr Kirichenko, the main witness against the accused Lazarenko. During the conversation, Kuzmin proposed Kirichenko to “refresh in his memory” and make allegations about Tymoshenko’s investments into assassination of Evgeniy Scherban, an entrepreneur from Donetsk, on Pavel Lazarenko order in 1990-ies. Kirichenko refused to bear false witness against Tymoshenko. This year in the end of August Vladimir Pylypenko, Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of Ukraine, a close mate of Kuzmin, has contacted the wife of Petr Kirichenko, Isabella, residing in the United States and proposed to offer for sale 2 apartments of her own in Kiev. Isabella Kirichenko informed Pylypenko on impossibility to offer the apartments for sale by reason of its arrest, but Pylypenko assured her that the apartments had already been absolutely released. Isabella Kirichenko arrived in Kiev and Pylypenko handed her over the copies of Resolution for property release. At that Pylypenko applied an application to police and Kirichenko was charged with fraud and taken into custody. Kirichenko had been kept in custody under definitely disgusting conditions. A woman had been provided no medical aid and allowed to make calls to her husband Petr Kirichenko from time to time, to share the details of a horrible prisoner’s life. Kuzmin to Kirichenko himself through the negotiators made rather particular proposals to recover that namely Tymoshenko used to order the assassination of Scherban and prove avidences. It is uncertain whether Kirichenko assented to a proposal, only Isabella Kirichenko has been released from the custody on Thursday, November 17.

That had happened the day the media appeared informationthat Kuzmin would come out with his report to the European Parliament delegates. Is that just a coincidence? Or Kuzmin decided to make himself secure, having the fear that Euro Parliamentarians may bring up a hostage-taking issue? The last is more obvious.

Here are just few incidents out of wide repressive experience of Renat Kuzmin. As his career path is promoted with the political repressions, so his financial stability is secured with the ‘designer cases’ against the Ukrainian entrepreneurs. Kuzmin is known in Ukraine as the master “prosecutor’s marauder” where the prosecutor’s office initiates the criminal cases against someone aiming to take from the entrepreneurs a property or money. In case Euro Parliamentarians do not scruple to meet Kuzmin, it is rather logical to ask, for example, in which way he managed to collect over a million of dollars to construct a luxury residence in Kiev, being a government employee? We would like Euro Parliamentarians to read the article which we distribute to a broad range of international media in the nearest future. One can neither welcome the public executioners nor hold out their hands, because their hands are deeply stained with blood.

Europe can not notice that here in Ukraine the authoritarian regime has been quickly generated, without having the law, besides the will of Yanukovych, with no rights, other than the rule of the gun, having no more self-dependent juridical authority, free Parliament and law enforcement authorities.

De facto a meeting between Euro Parliamentarians and the main persecutor validates his actions, upholding new political repressions of people in Ukraine.

In a civilized country, Jack Ketch must be declared persona non grata and get his hands handcuffed.

Sooner or later this will happen.
